El presidente boliviano, Evo Morales, convocó este viernes a una reunión de cancilleres de los países que integran la Organización del Tratado de Cooperación Amazónica (OTCA), con el propósito de abordar de emergencia los voraces incendios que arrasan, desde hace 20 días, algunas zonas selváticas de Brasil y Bolivia.
“Pido de manera de emergencia y de urgencia convocar a una reunión de cancilleres para debatir profundamente, no sólo enfrentar la coyuntura, sino prepararnos para el futuro (y debatir) cómo cuidar nuestra Amazonía y biodiversidad”, pidió el mandatario a los demás Gobiernos que integran la OCTA: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Guyana, Surinam y Brasil.
