Bahoruco, RD.-El presidente de la Fundación Padrino de las Escuelas de Bahoruco solicitó al ministro de Educación, doctor Ángel Hernández, disponer para el año escolar 2022-2023 el suministro del desayuno y
almuerzo para los estudiantes al Programa Semipresencial para Adultos, conocido como PREPARA.
En una misiva dirigida al doctor Hernández, el presidente de la entidad, el exdiputado Méndez, le recuerda al ministro Hernández que la ordenanza que crea el Programa PREPARA lo establece como modalidad de tanda extendida, “y que por tal razón les corresponde la asignación de las raciones alimenticias”.
“Pero, además, Señor ministro, la mayoría de esos estudiantes son madres y padres de familia, una buena parte de ellas son madres solteras, que en su mayoría provienen de sectores vulnerables, por lo
entendemos que es de justicia atender esa necesidad sentida” recordó.
La entidad que trabaja para la comunidad educativa, el deporte y la recreación sana dijo esperar que el ministro Hernández dispondrá la correspondiente evaluación de esta petición, “con lo que se le daría
mayor nivel de estabilidad al programa, ya que resulta penoso verlos esos jóvenes al medio día en las calles tratando de cuadrar una comida, por lo que muchos de ellos no retornan a clase”.
