Santiago, RD.- La comunidad de La Barranquita en esta provincia recibió del Presidente Luis Abinader la nueva escuela básica Isabel Rosalva Torres, construida a un costo superior a los 130 millones de pesos.
El centro educativo beneficiará a más de 800 alumnos y cuenta con 50 empleos directos. Además, es una apuesta más para que la educación pública en el país sea de la mejor calidad posible.
“El nuevo modelo de escuela que va a tener la República Dominicana cumplirá la máxima que siempre me han oído decir: tendremos la mejor educación posible y, añado, también en las mejores instalaciones”, dijo el jefe de Estado.
De igual forma recordó que estas son las inversiones más productivas que pueden hacer las sociedades.
“Mi gobierno tiene como objetivo irrenunciable mejorar toda la red educativa de nuestro país; dignificando sus infraestructuras y dotándolas de lo que sea necesario en todo momento”.
El centro cuenta con 28 aulas, enfermería, salas multiusos, canchas, espacios verdes, entre otras áreas.
En representación del Ministro de Educación, el viceministro Francisco De Óleo dijo que estas aulas servirán para forjar en cada estudiante competencias profesionales al servicio de la sociedad, así como los valores para ser ciudadanos ejemplares.
En tanto que el Ministro de Obras Públicas indicó que obras como estas representan “una de las inversiones de infraestructura que gobierno alguno pueda realizar” porque impacta la transformación social y formación de ciudadanos.
