Monte Plata, RD.-El Ministerio Público obtuvo una condena de ocho años de prisión en contra de un hombre que fue apresado con varias porciones de drogas en el municipio Sabana Grande de Boyá en diciembre de 2020.
Los jueces Hilda Nieves Sánchez Luna, Isaías Ronaldo Martínez Pérez y Johanna Giselle Reyes Moquete, del Tribunal Colegiado de Monte Plata, declararon culpable a Benjamín Moisés Carvajal, por violar las disposiciones contenidas en los artículos 5, literal A, 28 y 75, párrafo II, de la Ley 50-88, sobre Drogas y Sustancias Controladas.
Además, ordenaron la incineración de las sustancias narcóticas que le ocuparon las autoridades, que consistían en 43.63 gramos de cocaína clorhidratada, 118.65 gramos de marihuana y 13.39 de crack, según certificación del Instituto Nacional de Ciencias Forenses (Inacif), del 28 de diciembre de 2020.
Carvajal fue arrestado con las drogas el 23 de diciembre de ese año en un operativo de la Dirección Nacional de Control de Drogas (DNCD), que se ejecutó en el sector Los Guandules, del referido municipio de la provincia Monte Plata.
El tribunal consideró certeras y suficientes las pruebas aportadas por los procuradores fiscales José del Carmen García Hernández y Johanna Núñez Borgen, para dictar la sentencia condenatoria, cuyo cumplimiento ordenó en el Centro de Corrección y Rehabilitación de Monte Plata.
